   my particular interpretation of this is that zizek is saying woman personifies this ontological incompleteness, and is in a way the background of voidthat allows the "fiction to hang in the air".
   i too am unsure what to think of this perspective. js zizek denigrating the feminine as lacking substance or rarefying her as material foundation?
   as so often with zizek thought provoking none the less.

   Hey Graze, thanks for commenting.

   I don't Think Zizek made this video. I think it just a mashup of his lecture, Materialism and Theology, with a pre-existing clip. regardless its interesting that you thought this was about the feminine as I just thought of non-discreet bodies. Regardless Lacan Himself makes the claims "Woman does not Exist" and "Woman is a symptom of man." By this he means woman posses no universality and comes into being as a disturbance in the the symbolic order. Here I think that we should make clear distinction between the symbolic order and the symbolic. My ever shifting understanding of psychoanalysis makes me think that perhaps, despite it crudeness, we can correlate the symbolic order, the structural relations, with the masculine and the symbolic, the absences which those relations circle around, with the feminine.

   Lacan associates feminine Jouissance with the partial object, objet a. If the symbolic order is structured around a partial object than we must realize reality is fundamentally incomplete. What i want to extract from this is that if reality is incomplete than the experience of a lack in the order of being and the simultaneous feeling of excess "too muchess" to being are stricly speaking the same experience. And Lacan knows this by associate the partial object with feminine jouissance(feminine jouissance being at other times label surplus enjoyment). This tension or as Hegel might put it, Contradiction (and this reveals Marxs misunderstanding of contradiction, as true contradictions are not between opposing forces but between a thing and itself) is how things arise.

   So this was just a really roundabout way of answering you question " js zizek denigrating the feminine as lacking substance or rarefying her as material foundation?" (minus the negative connotations of denigrate). I think its both.
